HPV and the vögeln backstory

Hey, I'm Katie (she/her), founder of OhMyV and the brand vögeln

I've always been on top of my health, getting cervical screenings and the HPV vaccine. But in 2022, I got a wake-up call. I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia (pre-cancerous cells on my cervix) caused by HPV (human papillomavirus), which could've turned into cervical cancer if left untreated.

Regular screenings potentially saved my life.

My journey was scary, confusing, and isolating – but connecting with others who had gone through the same thing opened my eyes. But, here's the kicker: while condoms are important, they don't fully protect against HPV transmission. Plus, chemicals in some condoms and lubes can mess with delicate vaginal tissue and microbiome, increasing infection risks.

Frustrated by the current products on offer and the stigma around pleasure, I created OhMyV.

OhMyV is dedicated to innovative sexual health products tailored specifically for the health of the vulva and STI prevention.

I teamed up with top researchers in chemistry and biotech to bring my vision to life and create body-safe, premium-quality products that protect your health and put your pleasure front and centre.
